IMAGETEXTKIT / A PRACTICAL GUIDE

Edit text in an image.

A small edit, without the original design file.

Use a JPG, PNG or WebP to replace words on a flat background. ImageTextKit covers the selected pixels with a solid color, then renders the new words at your image’s original resolution.

From old words to new ones

  1. Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 20 MB and 24 megapixels (maximum 8,192 pixels per side).
  2. Drag a rectangle around the old words. Drag the selection to move it, or its corners to resize. Keyboard: focus the image and press Enter, then use arrows to move or Shift + arrows to resize.
  3. Choose a background fill. Use the color picker to sample a clean pixel, enter your replacement and adjust font, size, weight, alignment and color.
  4. Apply the replacement. Repeat for other areas, compare with the original or undo a change.
  5. Download the edited PNG at the original image dimensions. Download includes your current live preview.

When this works well

Clear, short text on an even background is the best fit. Choose a typeface similar to the original and sample the background color from a clean part of the image.

This is a manual, browser-local editor. A solid fill covers the old words; it is not AI inpainting or automatic font matching. Your image is not sent to an image-processing server. Closing or reloading the tab clears the session.
